FRUSENEX is a diuretic (water pill), a medicine that helps to remove water and sodium from the body through urine. It is used alone or in combination with other medicines for the treatment of high blood pressure. It is also used to treat excess fluid build-up in the body tissues, mostly in the feet, ankles, and legs, due to various conditions such as heart, liver, or kidney disease.

Help treat fluid retention (edema)
Reduce swelling that is caused by congestive heart failure, liver disease, kidney disease
May help treat high blood pressure (hypertension)
It’s also sometimes used to help you pee when your kidneys are not working properly.
DESCRIPTION
Furosemide is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Furosemide is used to treat edema (fluid retention; excess fluid held in body tissues) caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney, and liver disease. Furosemide is in a class of medications called diuretics (‘water pills’). It works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.
INSTRUCTIONS & DOSAGE
Active substance: furosemide IP 100mg
Frusenex may be taken with or without food. Your doctor may determine the dose and duration of treatment based on your clinical condition. Take it around the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Continue taking this medication even if you feel well. If you stop taking it without consulting your doctor, your condition may worsen.
STORAGE
Store in dry place at room temperature. Do not exceed storage temperature higher than 25 degrees Celcius. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep locked and away from children.
