GONADOTROPIN CHORIONIC (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a gonadotropic hormone produced by human’s placenta. GCH has a variety of functions. In women it stimulates the production of progesterone during the first trimester of pregnancy; induces ovulation and stimulates the synthesis of estrogens. In men it is used to treat low-level testosterone, insufficient production of luteinizing hormone, hypogonadism and infertility. GCH is highly popular among bodybuilders due to its ability to increase the production of endogenous testosterone during or after steroid cycles.

USES
Women: Induce Ovulation, Maintain Pregnancy.
Men: Stimulates Spermatogenesis and Production of Sex Steroids.

DESCRIPTION
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein hormone consisting of 237 amino acids and carbohydrate. In adult females with infertility it acts identically to luteinizing hormone. In adult men and adolescent: in adult and adolescent men with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, HCG acts like LH and stimulates testosterone production in the Leydig cells and spermatogenesis in the seminiferous tubules.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin comes in the form of powder for injection. Each vial contains active substance – Human chorionic gonadotropin – 1500IU. Package includes five 1 ml Water for injection ampuls.
For intramuscular injection. The dose is adjusted individually, 500 to 3000IU per day depending on the nature of treatment and the patient’s age.

The drug is administered 2-3 times per week to men for 4 weeks at intervals of 4-6 weeks. Undertake 3-6 courses for 6-12 months. Long continuous use of the drug is not recommended because of the danger of antibody formation and suppression of the gonadotropic function of the pituitary gland.

In the anovulatory cycles with a high level of estrogen in women, which indicates normal maturation of the follicles, the drug is administered starting from the 10th to 12th day of the cycle at 3000IU 2-3 times at intervals of 2-3 days or 1500 IU 6-7 times every other day.

With intermittent-pituitary insufficiency, treatment with chorionic gonadotropin is best performed after preliminary treatment in the first phase of the cycle with follicle-stimulating hormone. With pituitary nanism with the phenomena of sexual infantilism, the drug is administered in a dose of 500-1000IU 1-2 times a week for 1-2 months by repeated courses.

Gonadotropin treatment of chorionic cryptorchidism in children is most effective before the age of 10 years. Dosage and duration of treatment are individual, depending on the location of the undescended testicle and the nature of cryptorchidism (one- or two-sided). The most common treatment scheme is as follows: for children under 10 years of age, 500-1000IU are administered for cryptorchidism, and 1500IU at 2 weeks per week for 4-6 weeks by repeated courses.

For diagnostic purposes, the male drug is administered 1500-3000IU per day for 5 days. If the sample is positive, the daily excretion of 17-ketosteroids and testosterone in the urine increases.
