DESCRIPTION
Grippferon is a drug based on interferon. Taking into account that most viruses enter the breathing system using the nasal cavity, the scientists developed the product blocking the replication of viruses in the membranes of the nose. The mechanism of action is based on prevention of growth of any viruses entering the body through the nose. The preparation has been used effectively for several years in Russia. Multiple clinical studies were arranged that assessed its safe and efficient performance to achieve the goals mentioned above. The antiviral work of the preparation was assessed by the research center of virology in 2014. The researchers were interested in its potential to fight SARS/MERS coronaviruses and the study confirmed its inhibitory effect on viruses of this type. It means that the medicine is an effective remedy that can treat and prevent respiratory viral diseases caused by these infections.

Active ingredients:
Human recombinant interferon alpha-2b

Excipients:
Disodium edetate dihydrate, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, povidone-8 thousand, macrogol 4000, and purified water.

Nasal drops/spray: The treatment course continues for five days. The dose depends upon the age of the person. Babies at the age of 1 year should take a drop 5 times a day. Children from 1 to 3 should take 2 drops 3-4 times a day. Children from 3 to 14 years should take 2 drops 4-5 times a day, while adults and children from 15 should take 3 drops 5-6 times a day.

Ointment: Lubricate the nasal mucosa, releasing 1 cm of the ointment in to each nasal passage for 7 days. For the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections, the ointment is used 5 times a day, lubricating the nasal mucosa. Before applying the ointment, it is necessary to clean the nasal cavity and after application, massage the wings of the nose to better distribute the ointment over the surface of the nasal mucosa. After application, sneezing, itching, temporary impairment of smell is possible.

STORAGE
Store it in dry place at a temperature from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Keep it away from heat and moisture. Keep locked and away from children. Keep the product for 30 days after you opened the bottle.
