RIBOXIN (Inosine) stimulates myocardial metabolic processes; provides antihypoxic and antiarrhythmic action; increases myocardial energy balance; improves coronary circulation; prevents the consequences of intraoperative kidney ischemia; takes part in the process of glucose exchange; activates metabolism in hypoxic conditions; stimulates the synthesis of nucleotides. Provides anabolic effect. Riboxin slows down the destructive processes in the cardiomyocyte sarcolemma. It reduces the area of necrosis and myocardial ischemia by improving microcirculation. Riboxin is also considered to improve muscle development.

DESCRIPTION
Riboxin is a derivative of purine, the precursor of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The active substance of Riboxin is inosin – a nucleoside – the part of tRNAs. It works by activating the metabolism of pyruvic acid and xanthine dehydrogenasea, thus providing normal process of tissue respiration. It stimulates the synthesis of nucleotides, enhances the activity of certain enzymes of the Krebs cycle. By penetrating into cells, it promotes a positive effect on the metabolic processes in the myocardium – increases the strength of the heart contractions and promotes more complete myocardium in diastole, resulting in increased stroke volume. Reduces platelet aggregation, activates the regeneration of tissues (especially the myocardium and the gastrointestinal mucosa). Further read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inosine
